Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency Jefferson Kwamina Sackey appears to be lacing his boots to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in the Ablekuma Central Constituency.
Once a safe seat for the NPP, the Ablekuma Central Constituency was annexed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2008 by Theophilus Tetteh Chair.
The NPP regained the seat after eight years.
However, in 2020, Dan Abdul-Latif beat incumbent Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey amidst deadly electoral violence to return the seat to the NDC.
On Friday, January 27, banners of his aspiration were mounted as Jefferson Sackey donated 3,000 exercise books to be distributed to school children across the Constituency.
According to the former Joy FM presenter, this is part of his Education Support Programme.

The NPP primaries to elect a Parliamentary Candidate is scheduled to be held later this year.
It is unclear if Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey will seek reelection as the party’s candidate ahead of the 2024 elections.
